Habit Engineering - Online Coaching
Track the data. Follow the Science. Stay Patient.
Our Method
At Habit Engineering, we believe in taking an Engineered approach to health and fitness. All too often, we see people applying all the skills required to get results in their working life, but they neglect them when it comes to optimising their lifestyle.

Forget quick fixes. Forget magic pills. Forget timelines.
You are the product of your habits and choices. By tracking simple data metrics and following scientific evidence, you will understand what needs to be improved and the habits you are required to maintain. You will not fix years of neglect in a few months. Anything you change must be sustainable and for a specific purpose.

Here is the good news, you may not need us and you are more than capable to learn all the facts, scrutinise the science and build the discipline required. You could:

-
Pick a generic program/ diet. Get perceived results way too fast, get frustrated, revert to old habits and default back to a position worse than when you started
-
Try everything you see and use trial and error
-
Find trusted resources. Read, listen, learn and practice the scientific principles

The issue with any diet principle:

-
Is the approach specific to you and your lifestyle?
-
Is it maintainable long-term?
-
What happens when you come across problems or have questions?
-
How can you be sure of the quality of information you hear or follow?
-
Are you treating symptoms rather than addressing the root cause?
-
Do you have the time or motivation to learn the science and critically evaluate the information you hear?

Save time, effort, stress and have a method administered for you. Be guided by an expert who has been through the process and has a specific plan tailored to you.

Sub-contract out the dilemma to a team that has done all the hard work already and focus your efforts on sustainably making progress today.

Our Philosophy
We believe that building healthy habits is the key to long-term success. We know every client is unique, so we take a personalised approach to each individual's fitness journey.
The following metrics are nothing new. You will be eating, moving and sleeping daily, but are they aligned with your goals? We need to track the data on these huge building blocks to ensure we aren't stepping over pounds to pick up the pennies. Small changes are likely all that is required to get you moving in the right direction.
Nutrition
It is a subject massively over-complicated within the industry and one that very few people solve due to the complex nature of emotions, tastes, social lives and routines. Foods should not be categorised as good or bad. One day will not ruin your progress. Events and social occasions will happen regardless, so we need to learn how to deal with them.

Training

The basic exercises are likely all you will ever need. You probably need less volume or to utilise less resistance while doing the tried and tested methods in a controlled manner. Weight training is all about muscular tension, practising perfect form, getting close enough to failure and, most importantly, managing fatigue. This is the same regardless of strength, hypertrophy or skill goals. Everything we do must make sense and ensure we do not risk unnecessary injury.

Sleep

Your body is breaking down daily, and our nutrition fuels us. Sleep is where you repair and is vital to recovery. It plays a huge role in your quality of life and well-being. If you do not prioritise your sleep, you will be under-recovered, resulting in less adaptation for your efforts. This is a simple fix but all too often neglected, but with the data, it becomes obvious.

Timelines

You cannot do anything about your genetics, tastes and starting point. You can do something about the direction you go from here, the choices you give yourself, the decisions you make and how you deal with setbacks. Over time, life happens. Events come up, and you will default to old habits if you don't consider the consequences. This is natural and absolutely fine! We want to make small changes that move us in the right direction and feel easy. You will slip up, and motivation will come and go, but by tracking the data, following the science and utilising logic, you will keep progressing and never look back. Record, analyse and learn.
